In 1998 Psikyo released a fighter that
depending on where you live may have a different name. The world release is simply known as The Fallen Angels, but in Japan
the game is known as Daraku Tenshi. Ironically the game ended up being
known to most fans as simply Daraku Tenshi (Japanese meaning Degradation
Angel or Fallen Angel).
In Daraku Tenshi A massive earthquake shatters the city of Esaka's connection with the mainland resulting in
a descent into chaos. Amongst the chaos a crime boss known as Carlos with skills ranging from hacking to swordplay manages to rise to become the city's supreme ruler. Despite the city's downfall there are 8 "angels" who dare to fight against Carlos. A Bartender and her brother, a kind android, the one known as Black Wing of Zone 4, a US Marine captain , a silent assassin, a washed-up martial artist all have reason to bring down Carlos.
Daraku Tenshi's graphics are remarkable for a 2D fighting game for the time. Some sources say the sprites were based of 3D models and then converted to hand painted 2D sprites to ensure fluid movement and look. Unfortunately the game never received the praise it was due and it is widely believed that the game that was released is incomplete. A lack of endings, cut scenes and the sprites of 4 lost characters all point to a game that was meant to be so much more. Although the game is unfinished never fear Daraku fans! Contained within this site are character bios, information on the incomplete cut scenes, endings, characters and more.

Welcome to the new Daraku Tenshi Unofficial Website! Along with a new design there will also be new content. I have joined up with LeeChaolan and the rest of his forum to not only gain a comunity, but to also to get help finding new content for the site.
Over time we will be filling DTUW with content such as beta information, story boards, hidden info, and story line. So if your interested join up at the forums. Also every Friday is game night. We log on and play against each other in games like Daraku Tenshi, KOF, Street Fighter, TMNT or any other game of interest.
